Water Supply Upgrade to Disrupt Parts of Soshanguve on Wednesday

The City of Tshwane has announced the rescheduling of essential maintenance and upgrade work on the water supply network in Soshanguve Block A. The work, which was initially planned for 29 April 2026, will now take place on Wednesday, 6 May 2026.

According to the city’s Communication, Marketing and Events Department, the maintenance will be conducted along Pele Street, between Tinkler and Mosoeu Streets. The project is expected to run for nine hours, from 08:00 to 17:00.

Residents in affected areas—including Tinkler, Pele and Mosoeu Streets—have been warned to prepare for possible water supply interruptions during the maintenance period. The city described the work as essential to improving the reliability and efficiency of the water distribution network.

The municipality cited unforeseen circumstances as the reason for postponing the original date, emphasizing the importance of completing the upgrades despite the delay.

“The City of Tshwane sincerely apologises for the inconvenience that may arise during this period,” the statement read.

Residents are encouraged to make necessary arrangements ahead of the scheduled interruption and to stay informed through official city communication platforms for any further updates.
