Tributes Pour In Around the World Following the Death of Music Legend Peabo Bryson

Tributes from across the globe continue to pour in following the death of legendary R&B singer and songwriter Peabo Bryson at the age of 75.

The two-time Grammy Award winner, whose soulful voice captivated audiences for more than five decades, passed away on Tuesday, leaving fans, fellow musicians and entertainment figures mourning the loss of one of music’s most beloved performers.

Social media platforms have been flooded with messages celebrating Bryson’s life and legacy. Fans have shared memories of his timeless love songs, while artists and public figures have paid tribute to the man whose music touched generations around the world.

Among those paying tribute was fellow music icon Celine Dion, who reflected on their celebrated duet Beauty and the Beast.

“I’m heartbroken to hear that we lost Peabo Bryson today. His incredible voice and his kind spirit embodied the beauty of song and performance. He was so wonderful and generous to me all those years ago, when we recorded Beauty and the Beast. He made me so comfortable, as I was just learning to sing in English. He will remain for me always as a real symbol of the joy that music has brought to my life. His voice and his talent will be missed.

My heart is with your family, and may you rest in peace, Peabo.”

Singer and songwriter Jody Watley also shared an emotional tribute, remembering Bryson’s influence on her career and the friendship they built over the years.

“One of the greatest male soul vocalists of a generation… an honor to sing with and get to know over the years.

My condolences to Peabo’s wife Tanya, and family, and loved ones.

My heart is so heavy right now.

Peabo leaves an indelible everlasting legacy. I’m glad to have been able to tell him every time we toured and sang duets together on The Colors of Christmas how much he meant to my journey, and thank him for his support, kindness.”

A tribute also appeared on the official social media account of the late Roberta Flack, with whom Bryson recorded several memorable duets. Flack passed away in 2025, and the post was shared by those managing her legacy.

“I can close my eyes and hear them singing together again. @peabobryson2 and @officialrobertaflack were the greatest ever. The world feels so empty tonight.”

Bryson was best known for hit songs such as If Ever You’re in My Arms Again, Can You Stop the Rain and I’m So Into You. He also earned international acclaim through his Disney classics Beauty and the Beast and A Whole New World, songs that introduced his remarkable voice to millions around the globe.

As tributes continue to flood social media, fans are remembering Bryson not only for his extraordinary vocal talent but also for his humility, generosity and lasting contribution to music.

While the world mourns the loss of a legendary performer, many agree that Peabo Bryson’s music will continue to live on, providing the soundtrack to countless memories for generations to come.
