The Media Development and Diversity Agency (MDDA) has opened applications for its 2026/27 Annual Community Media Grant Funding Programme, giving eligible community media organisations an opportunity to apply for financial support.
The funding aims to strengthen community media across South Africa by supporting projects that promote media diversity, improve access to information and enhance the sustainability of community radio stations, newspapers and other community media platforms.
Applications opened on 3 July 2026 and will close on 31 July 2026. Interested organisations can access the application forms and further information on the MDDA website at www.mdda.org.za or contact the agency via email at communications@mdda.org.za.
