City of Tshwane boosts road marking capacity with new high tech machines

The City of Tshwane has strengthened its road maintenance programme with the introduction of two state-of-the-art road marking machines aimed at improving road safety and service delivery across the metro.

MMC for Roads and Transport, Cllr Tlangi Mogale, introduced the new machines, saying they will significantly increase the City’s internal capacity to carry out road marking operations in all seven regions. The machines are expected to improve efficiency and complete road marking projects faster and more cost effectively than manual methods.

Mogale said the City has faced challenges with road markings in recent years, and the new equipment forms part of efforts to enhance service delivery and ensure safer roads for motorists and pedestrians.
