2025 Matric Certificates Ready for Collection in Gauteng

The Gauteng Department of Education has announced that candidates who sat for the November 2025 National Senior Certificate (NSC) examinations can begin collecting their certificates from Tuesday, 10 March 2026.

According to the department, all qualifying learners are required to collect their National Senior Certificates from their respective schools. The department described the certificate as a lifelong document that plays a crucial role in securing employment, accessing tertiary education, and applying for bursaries.

The announcement follows Gauteng’s strong performance in the 2025 matric results, where the province achieved an outstanding pass rate of 89.06%. This marks a 0.66% improvement over the previous year’s 88.4%, positioning Gauteng as the third-highest-performing province in the country.

Education officials have encouraged the Class of 2025 to ensure they collect and safely store their certificates, emphasising the importance of the document in opening doors to future opportunities.

The department congratulated the matric class on their achievement, urging them to “close this chapter properly and step boldly into the future.”

Learners who are unable to collect their certificates in person are advised to contact their respective schools for further guidance.
