Taxi Industry in Mourning After Limpopo Crash Kills 13

Santaco has voiced its shock and sadness after a horrific collision between a taxi and two trucks on the R81 claimed 13 lives. The victims were 12 congregants from the Assemblies of God church and their driver, all returning from a conference.

Robert Mthombeni, Santaco’s Deputy Chairperson, called the loss of 12 passengers and a driver a profound tragedy for the industry. “Our passengers are our daily bread,” Mthombeni stated, underscoring the personal and economic impact of the crash. The cause of the accident is under investigation.
