With the Matric Class of 2025 anxiously awaiting their results, Members of Parliament are sending words of encouragement to learners across the country. Basic Education Minister Siviwe Gwarube is set to announce the results on Monday evening.
The Portfolio Committee on Basic Education praised learners, teachers, and parents for their dedication. “This milestone reflects years of hard work and perseverance under challenging circumstances. Learners should be proud of their efforts, and we commend parents, teachers, and school communities for their unwavering support,” said ANC MP Joy Maimela.
MKP MP Siphetho Mkhize highlighted the achievement of learners in townships, rural areas, informal settlements, and farming communities. “Today is a moment to celebrate the dedication of everyone who worked tirelessly to give these learners the chance to succeed. The announcement of the NSC pass rate will show that South Africa continues to produce the professionals of tomorrow,” he said.
The Democratic Alliance (DA) also offered encouragement. “Congratulations to all learners for making it this far and giving their best in the exams. For those who didn’t get the results they hoped for, keep going, stay motivated, and never give up—we believe in you,” said DA MP Nazley Sharif.
As the nation awaits the results, MPs’ messages serve as a reminder that the journey, effort, and resilience of learners are worth celebrating, no matter the outcome
