Health Minister Aaron Motsoaledi has slammed the “inhumane” corruption uncovered at Tembisa Hospital, where an SIU report reveals R2 billion was lost to tender fraud. The minister singled out thieves who stole public money to buy luxury items like Lamborghinis, while the healthcare sector is in crisis.
The scandal, which involves three major syndicates, echoes the warnings of murdered whistleblower Babita Deokaran, who had flagged R850 million in fraudulent procurement before she was killed.
