A coordinated law enforcement operation in Soshanguve has led to the successful recovery of two hijacked vehicles following separate incidents in the area and surrounding precincts.
Members of Soshanguve SAPS Visible Policing (VISPOL), Gauteng Traffic Wardens Special Task Team (STT), Tshenolo Private Investigations and Zondi Crime Busters conducted a joint operation after receiving information about an armed robbery and vehicle hijacking that occurred in Block L within the Soshanguve policing precinct.
Acting swiftly on the intelligence received, officers launched a search for the hijacked vehicle. Their efforts paid off when the vehicle was later located and recovered in Block M, Soshanguve.
In a separate operation, officers received information about a Toyota Rumion that had been hijacked within the Ga-Rankuwa policing precinct. Members followed up on the tip-off and successfully recovered the vehicle in the Merry Me area of Soshanguve.
Authorities have commended the swift response and cooperation between the various law enforcement units, which resulted in the recovery of the vehicles.
