Basic Education Minister Siviwe Gwarube has urged learners from the matric Class of 2025 to take pride in their hard work, discipline and perseverance as the country prepares for the release of the National Senior Certificate results.
Gwarube is expected to announce the national and provincial pass rates, as well as the top achievers, on Monday. Individual matric results will be made available to candidates on Tuesday.
The results will be published in all accredited newspapers and will reflect examination numbers and marks only, without revealing candidates’ names, surnames or identity numbers.
Addressing anxious matriculants, Gwarube congratulated learners for reaching this important milestone in their academic journey.
She praised the class of 2025 for their resilience and determination, saying South Africa is proud of their efforts. Gwarube also reassured learners who may not obtain the results they had hoped for, emphasising that setbacks do not mark the end of the road and that there are several opportunities available to improve their results and continue pursuing their goals.
