The Gaza Health Ministry reports that 453 people, including 150 children, have now died as a direct result of famine and malnutrition. Since famine was officially declared in the region in August, an additional 175 lives have been lost.
The ministry issued a stark warning about “catastrophic challenges” for medical teams, who are facing severe shortages of medicines and supplies. It urgently called for international action to guarantee the safe entry of medical aid and prevent a total collapse of the healthcare system, citing the blockade of critical deliveries as a major factor in the deteriorating crisis.
