Gauteng Education MEC Matome Chiloane is set to brief the public this Sunday, 30 November 2025, on the latest progress regarding Grade 1 and Grade 8 learner placements for the 2026 academic year.
The update will focus on applications processed through the Gauteng Online Admissions system, which places tens of thousands of learners annually.
The briefing will also cover how the 2025 National Senior Certificate (NSC) examinations were conducted across the province.
This year’s exams saw extensive monitoring and coordination across Gauteng’s districts to ensure smooth operations and compliance.
The Briefing will take place at 10:00 AM at King Edward VII School in Houghton, Johannesburg.
