Residents of Mabopane and surrounding areas are encouraged to take part in an upcoming clean-up campaign aimed at promoting environmental responsibility and community pride.
The initiative, organised by the City of Tshwane, will take place on Monday, 23 March 2026 at Mabopane Station, next to the fire station. Activities are scheduled to begin at 09:00.
Held under the theme “Our environment, our responsibility,” the campaign seeks to mobilise community members to actively participate in keeping their surroundings clean and safe.
The day’s programme will include a clean-up operation around the station precinct, a customer service pop-up desk to assist residents with municipal queries, as well as community education and awareness sessions focused on environmental care.
Officials say the initiative forms part of broader efforts to encourage sustainable practices and strengthen partnerships between the municipality and local communities.
