The countdown to the 2026 matric final examinations has officially begun, with Grade 12 learners now having just 22 days to prepare before the National Senior Certificate (NSC) exams get underway.
The Gauteng Department of Education has reminded the Class of 2026 that the October/November examinations will begin on 13 October 2026, marking the final stretch of their matric journey. The official national timetable confirms the examination period will run into November.
With less than a month to go, learners are being encouraged to make the most of every remaining study day, revise challenging subjects and work through previous examination papers.
The Department of Basic Education provides past NSC examination papers to help learners familiarise themselves with question formats, test their knowledge and improve their preparation.
