Attempted murder accused Vusimuzi “Cat” Matlala will no longer appear before the Madlanga Commission of Inquiry on Tuesday as previously scheduled.
The Commission has confirmed that its evidence leaders will request a postponement of Matlala’s testimony to a date that is yet to be determined. The decision comes amid heightened public and media interest surrounding his expected appearance.
Commission spokesperson Jeremy Michaels says that although Matlala will not testify on Tuesday, his legal representatives are expected to attend the proceedings on his behalf.
The Commission has not yet announced when Matlala will be called to testify.
