President Cyril Ramaphosa has vowed that no stone will be left unturned in the investigation into the recent killings of women in and around Kempton Park, Gauteng.
The killings have sparked fear and concern in communities, particularly among women, with authorities working to establish the circumstances surrounding the deaths and identify those responsible.
Ramaphosa said he had spoken to the Minister of Police and the Acting National Police Commissioner, who briefed him on the progress of the investigations. He has directed law enforcement agencies to prioritise the cases and ensure that those responsible are brought to justice.
“I speak for all of us as I extend my deepest condolences to all families and communities affected by the killing of women recently found in and around Kempton Park,” Ramaphosa said.
He also called on members of the public to work with law enforcement by providing any information that could assist investigators. Ramaphosa stressed the need for the country to stand up for the rights, safety and dignity of women and girls.
