Gauteng MEC for Health and Wellness Faith Mazibuko is set to lead the #Siyabaphilisa health outreach campaign in Slovo Park Phase 2, Winterveldt, Tshwane, on Monday.
The outreach will take place from 09:00 to 15:00 and is aimed at bringing essential healthcare services directly to residents in the community.
According to the Gauteng Department of Health, residents will have access to a range of services, including health screenings, HIV and TB testing, immunisation, family planning, chronic disease support and health education.
The campaign will also provide STI screening, LGBQTI+ and youth services, Vitamin A supplementation and deworming, oral health services, vaccination, adherence support and psychosocial support. Residents will also be able to access learner administration services, information on recruitment for the Gauteng College of Nursing, occupational safety services and SASSA assistance.
The #Siyabaphilisa campaign forms part of the provincial government’s efforts to take healthcare services closer to communities and improve access to essential health interventions.
The Gauteng Department of Health is calling on residents of Slovo Park and surrounding areas to make use of the services available during the outreach.
