Popular Limpopo anti-drug activist and rehabilitation centre owner Tsebe Philemon Moloto, popularly known as “Mr Moloto”, is facing nine additional charges following his appearance in the Polokwane Magistrates’ Court.
Moloto, who is a co-founder of the Limpopo Anti-Drug, Gangsterism and Crime (LADGAC) rehabilitation centre, was initially facing two counts of malicious damage to property linked to separate incidents in Polokwane.
The State has now added nine charges to the case, including five counts of attempted murder, two additional counts of malicious damage to property, as well as charges relating to alleged trespassing and a Toyota Hilux double cab.
The latest charges significantly expand the case against Moloto, who remains out on R50 000 bail.
Limpopo businesswoman Lebo Rachidi says she is living in fear following the alleged torching of her vehicle and part of her mother’s house in June. Rachidi has alleged that her former business partner, Moloto, was behind the incidents.
Moloto has not been convicted of any of the charges against him, and the allegations remain before the court.
The matter was postponed to 30 October 2026 to allow the Director of Public Prosecutions to provide direction on which court should hear the case.
