Tshwane launches first-ever mobile service truck to bring municipal services closer to residents

The City of Tshwane has launched its first-ever Customer Relations Management Mobile Truck in Soshanguve Block BB, in a move aimed at bringing municipal services directly to communities and improving service delivery.

The mobile truck, launched on Monday, will travel across the city to assist residents with a range of municipal service enquiries, including water and electricity issues, billing queries, customer care services, account-related concerns, credit control reports and other municipal services.

The initiative forms part of the City’s efforts to make municipal services more accessible while reducing the need for residents to travel to municipal offices.

Member of the Mayoral Committee (MMC) for Corporate and Shared Services, Flora Monama, said the launch marks an important milestone in improving the relationship between the municipality and its residents.

“The City of Tshwane is proud to launch our first-ever Customer Relations Management Mobile Truck. This vehicle brings municipal services directly to you, bridging the gap between the city and its residents. Our administration is fully focused on service delivery. Since day one, our goal has been simple: to serve our communities, fix past failures, and ensure a functional city that works for everyone,” said Monama.

The City said the mobile truck will visit different communities across Tshwane to resolve service delivery enquiries while also helping residents with issues relating to their municipal accounts.

The launch forms part of the City’s broader #TshwaneAtYourService campaign, which aims to improve access to municipal services and strengthen engagement between the municipality and residents.
