The Tshwane Metro Police Department (TMPD) has arrested 19 undocumented foreign nationals during a by-law enforcement operation conducted in Raslouw and surrounding areas in Centurion.
The operation, which took place on Monday, 27 July 2026, formed part of the metro police’s ongoing efforts to enforce municipal by-laws and immigration legislation within the City of Tshwane.
According to the TMPD, the arrests were carried out in accordance with the Immigration Act 13 of 2002.
“The Tshwane Metro Police Department (TMPD) in Centurion conducted by-laws enforcement operations in Raslouw and surrounding areas on Monday, 27 July 2026, resulting in the arrest of 19 undocumented foreign nationals,” the department said.
The arrested individuals were detained at a local police station, where they are expected to undergo further processing by the Department of Home Affairs.
TMPD urged foreign nationals residing in or visiting the City of Tshwane to comply with South African immigration laws and municipal by-laws.
“The TMPD urges all foreign nationals who reside or wish to visit the City of Tshwane to do so within the confines of the laws of the country and the city by-laws to avoid facing any legal issues,” the department said.
The operation forms part of the city’s ongoing law enforcement initiatives aimed at ensuring compliance with legislation and maintaining public safety across Tshwane.
