A 23-year-old woman has been shot and killed in an apparent robbery in Tembisa, Ekurhuleni, on Monday morning.
Gauteng police said the woman was reportedly on her way to work when she was shot and her belongings were taken. Police said she has been identified, but her next of kin have not yet been formally informed.
The incident brings to 12 the number of women whose bodies have been found in the Ekurhuleni area. However, police said preliminary investigations have not established any link between the latest incident and the recent discovery of bodies in the area.
